I was told by doctor that aldactone can be used to treat acne. Is this true?

That's true, your doctor is right. Usually doctors are starting their patients on 25mg of Aldactone a day - just to see how much it would take for it to work on their skin. If it doesn't work, doctor gradually upping the dose to 50mg a day, then 75mg or 100 mg of Spironolactone (Aldactone) a day. Should to say Aldactone works, and works just great! :)
